Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the websites of Imazen LLC (henceforth “Imazen”) listed below. By using any of Imazen’s websites or apps, you agree to the newest version of this Privacy Policy.

I. The Information We Collect and How It is Stored

Imazen collects information from its users in several ways.

  • User-volunteered information. This includes things like name, address and credit card information collected in our checkout process in order to process payment. We use Stripe and Braintree to process payments, and we encourage our users to seek out their privacy policies. We retain the type of credit card, the expiration date, the name, and only the last 4 card digits used for every transaction. If you register a user account with us, any passwords used will be individually salted and securely hashed prior to storage. We also retain name, address, and contact information for all customers. We use this information to register purchases of our products, and send confirmation of those purchases.

  • Email newsletter signup. All that is collected here is an email address, which is stored in a cloud-hosted database. Under no circumstances do we sell or rent email information garnered from here or our store site to anyone ever.

  • Pixel Tags and Web Beacons. Our email services both through our store and our newsletter will use pixel tags and web beacons to determine, for instance, if your email service can display HTML-formatted email.

  • Cookies. Imazen’s store site retains cookies to ease the login process, as well as store information for repeat customers.

  • Information from Your Browser. Imageresizer’s website collects information from your browser to determine what time zone you are in, so we can advise you on when to contact us to get the speediest service.

  • Information from Third Party Websites. For example, social media login provides us with some personal information, like your name. We use this to speed up our checkout process on our store website.

  • Information Tracked by Google Analytics. Like millions of other companies, and most websites on the internet, Imazen uses Google Analytics on all of our websites. We use their software to gather information about our users, so that we can better tailor our websites to their use. Some of the information that Google Analytics tracks includes what website you came from to get here, how long you stay, your geolocation, and what kind of computer you’re using. No personally identifying information is included in this type of data reporting.

II. Choice

You may limit what information you share in several ways.

  • Disabling cookies. This will not allow you to take advantage of the more streamlined check-in process, but you may disable cookies through your browser. Please note that cookie deletion is browser-specific.

  • Unsubscribing. Subscription to our newsletter is not automatic, and you may unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time.

  • Opt out of Google Analytics Tracking. If you wish to opt out, you may do so here, or use a browser plugin to opt out of all Google Analytics tracking software.

III. Sharing of Information

Imazen does not share information with any affiliates or advertisers, and our policy is to keep all contact information private to the extent it is possible. We do, however, use services provided by the following organizations, and these services may have access to user information, and may abide by different policies. We encourage our users to familiarize themselves with their Privacy Policies as well as ours.

Monitoring and Logging Tools: AppHarbor, New Relic, Papertrail, Airbrake, Bugsnag, Honeybadger and AppFail, Google Analytics, Google Plus API User Feedback: Disqus, UserVoice

Hosting Services (for our websites and their images): Heroku, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Ninefold, DNSimple, Github, Google Code, Google Fonts

Store Information (credit card, address, etc.): Braintree, Stripe, Spree Commerce, Tax Cloud

Imazen may also share information when compelled by law, i.e. through subpoena, search warrant, court order, or copyright infringement claim. Furthermore, in the event that Imazen participates in a corporate sale, merger, consolidation, asset sale, or bankruptcy, information Imazen has collected may be transferred to the acquiring company.

IV. Third Party Websites

Our sites may contain links to websites not affiliated with our company. Any personal information disclosed to these parties falls under their terms and conditions, and their privacy policy. We are not responsible for, nor do we control their privacy practices.

V. Security

We understand and appreciate the trust in giving us your information, and we take threats to the security of that information very seriously. If you suspect a security threat at any level, anywhere on our websites, we encourage you to contact us at [email protected] so that we may take swift action to eliminate the vulnerability.

Imazen has put in place appropriate electronic and physical safeguards to protect the privacy of our users, but no security system is perfect, and so we do not guarantee safety. We urge our users to bear in mind that any messages posted to our comment board are freely available to anyone with internet access. We also expect our users to take appropriate precautions in protecting sensitive information, such as keeping passwords private, and we cannot be held liable for our user's failure to take such precautions.

VI. Accessing and Changing Information

You have a right to access the information on information we have that can personally identify you, as well as change it, with some exceptions. For instance, if you placed an order with us and you would like to change your information to erase that order, we can refuse. VII. Children

Our websites are intended for use by people aged 18 and over. Use by patrons younger than 17 is prohibited, and by using our services you certify that you are at least 18.
